Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission in TEVTA institutes must fulfill the following eligibility requirements depending on the program they wish to enroll in.

• For the Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE), candidates must have passed Matric (Secondary School Certificate) with science subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 45 percent marks from a recognized board.
• For most vocational and certificate-level courses, a minimum of eighth grade or Matric pass is required.
• Short courses under skill development may have more relaxed academic requirements and are sometimes open to candidates who can read and write basic Urdu or English.
• Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply for home economics, garment making, beautician, and other women-focused programs offered at dedicated female institutes across Punjab.
• Candidates applying for computer and IT programs should ideally have basic familiarity with computer operation, though it is not always mandatory.
• Priority is given to students from low-income families, rural areas, and technically underserved communities.

Age Limit

• For DAE and longer diploma programs, candidates should be between 14 and 25 years of age.
• For short courses and certificate programs, the age limit is generally between 15 and 35 years.
