- For Professor and Associate Professor: PhD from an HEC-recognised institution is mandatory; experience and publications as per HEC criteria
- For Assistant Professor: PhD preferred; MS/MPhil may qualify for certain departments as per HEC regulations
- For Lecturer: typically MS/MPhil from an HEC-recognised institution; as per HEC Lecturer eligibility criteria
- Professor of Practice: as per HEC criteria — significant industry/practical experience in the relevant field is the primary qualification requirement
