Mode of Examination — KPPSC ASI Traffic Wardens 2026
Step 1 — Physical Endurance Test
All eligible candidates must qualify a Physical Endurance Test conducted by a three-member panel (two from KPPSC, one from Police Department). Only candidates who pass this test are eligible for the Written Examination.
Step 2 — Written Examination (Total: 300 Marks)
The written examination consists of four papers plus viva voce. Minimum 40% qualifying marks required in each.

Step 3 — Psychological Test
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for a Psychological Test conducted by a KPPSC-appointed Psychologist. The result guides the interview panel in assessing the candidate’s suitability for police service.
Step 4 — Viva Voce (Oral Interview)
Viva voce is conducted by KPPSC. Absence from viva voce equals automatic disqualification. The final merit list is prepared on the combined marks of written test and viva voce. In case of a tie, the older candidate is ranked higher.
Step 5 — Medical Examination & Background Clearance
Recommended candidates must pass a medical examination by Director General Health Services, Government of KP. Final appointment orders are subject to intelligence agency background clearance.
